What are the benefits of Pilates?
Pilates is a low-impact workout designed to build core stability, improve posture, and enhance overall wellbeing. At its core, a Mat Pilates class focuses on the body’s “powerhouse” — the abdominals, lower back, pelvic floor, hips, and glutes. Through controlled, precise movements, you build strength and stability while enhancing posture and alignment.
Most exercises use your own body weight for resistance, allowing you to work safely and effectively. To add variety and challenge, we sometimes incorporate equipment such as resistance bands, Pilates rings, or small exercise balls, which help sculpt, strengthen and target muscles in new ways.
Pilates also improves flexibility and mobility, as stretching is an integral part of every class. Beyond the physical benefits, our sessions support mental and emotional wellbeing, with specialised classes focusing on mindfulness, relaxation, and stress reduction. By the end of your session, you’ll leave feeling stronger, balanced, and revitalised both physically and mentally.
