| I started
my journey into healing in the world of Person-Centered
Counselling at University, although, like other members
of my family, I have always been an ‘instinctive
healer’. I later spent two separate years working
in a Psychiatric Day-centre - along with general studies
in the University of Life - having then gained an ITEC
diploma in Aromatherapy & Massage - and started
up in Practice offering Therapeutic Massage, more than
12 years ago, now!
To this I brought a long-standing interest in food-related
illness, and the use of the Bach Flower Remedies. I
was next inspired to add Shiatsu to my clinical studies,
finally culminating in acceptance to the Shiatsu Society.
Over the last seven years, working closely with a team
of Chiropractors, I have specialized in the treatment
of spinal and other skeletal problems, experience adding
steadily to the skills with which I had arrived in Brighton.
After further study, I gained a Diploma (with distinction)
in Integrated Hypno-therapy, returning again to treating
the person, together with the body.
Over the years, I have nurtured a strong personal interest
in esoteric subjects and especially in Western mysticism,
and make use of this understanding in treating the mind/body
system as one whole. I have employed, when appropriate,
the specialized techniques of Crystal Healing. And I
am now also offering the guidance of the Tarot, that
most profound esoteric doctrine.
I have a particular interest, too, in helping people
who wish to explore their Past Lives, and to integrate
that knowledge into their present circumstances.
I offer all my clients the opportunity to come and have
an initial informal talk for half an hour, free of charge.
Spinal massage
Our muscles and bones work together so closely that
it is often difficult to say where the work and functions
of the one ends and the other begins.
After working alongside a team of Chiropractors for
eight years,
I have developed a keen appreciation of the role played
by the joints - especially those of the spine - in causing
muscular aches, tension and stiffness.
During that time I have evolved a range of techniques
drawn from different disciplines specifically to improve
the potency of my Therapeutic Massage treatments.
Using a sophisticated diagnostic approach that incorporates
the actions of joints, muscles and Meridian energies
allows me to confidently identify problem areas - and
suggest a spectrum of therapies, including Spinal Massage,
appropriate to the condition at hand.
