DROP-IN PROGRAMME

Summer 2012

April

12th ‘Understanding Retrogrades Part I’ by Julian.  What does it mean to have a retrograde planet in your natal chart and how does it tend to manifest? In part I of two talks, Julian will look at retrograding inner planets. Bring your chart for some quick-fire interpretation.

19th  ‘Astrology, the World Economy and Us’ a talk by Roy Gillett who will discuss charts that describe the world economic system as it really is, focussing on the transits to these since 2008. He will give an overview of what upcoming transits suggest for key countries in the world and ourselves.

26th  ‘Healing the Generations: Family Patterns in the Birthchart‘ a talk by Phoebe. The family patterns we carry in our DNA appear in our birth chart along with shades of our problematic ancestors. What can we do to heal old wounds and release them from their spell?

May

3rdThe Spirit of the Times’ a talk by Jez Hughes. The shamanic approach to astrology can be used to ask what the spirit of the times is teaching us.  We will explore ancient

ways of listening to and appeasing the Gods who through heightened planetary activity are conducting the drama in these powerful times of transition.

10th  ‘Soul Stories and the South Node‘ by Pam. The south node shows us our prior life. Pam will detail the effect that planets involved with the south node play in revealing that story. Because the south node is lunar, it shows us the unconscious assumptions about ourself that we have built up over many lifetimes.

17th  To Become Who We Are: the Art of Astrological Counselling’ a talk by Greg Szanto, While the birth chart shows who we are, counselling enables us to become what we’re capable of becoming. They can successfully complement each other.

24th ‘The Planetary Hours’ a talk by Trav.
These were used to elect favorable times to initiate activities, cast spells, perform magic rituals and are still relevant today. Easy to use and easy to work out, they’re astrology’s way of not only telling the time but also telling the quality of the time.

31st ‘The Venus-Sun-Earth Alignment and the 2012 London Olympic Games’ a talk by Chris Kasparis. Could the Venus alignment with the Sun in June and the 2012 Games trigger off an awakening period as we head towards the prophesied Mayan end-times? Chris will use esoteric astrology and ancient wisdom teachings to illustrate these awesome events.

June

7th  ‘Where are we at? ‘ A class in which we lay and interpret our current transits using the zodiac circle on the floor, with Phoebe

14th ‘Understanding Retrogrades Part II’ a talk by Julian.  Carrying on from part I Julian will look at the outer planets when retrograde in the natal chart. Bring your chart for some quick-fire interpretation.

21st  Summer Solstice Celebration

28thThe Power of Medical Astrology’ a talk by Israel Ajose, who will go into the history of medical astrology and how it was used by our ancestors. He will ask to what uses can we put medical astrology today?

July 5th

‘Putting it into Practice’ by Pam. Who’s

in the news? A detailed look those in the news with their birth charts, transits and progressions. This is an opportunity to practise your skills. Pam will send the charts out before the talk to give you time to study them.

12th ’Cardinal, Fixed or Mutable?’ a talk by Phoebe. Three different scripts each with a different set of life lessons! Which type are you? And is your present phase a cardinal, fixed or mutable one? Knowing this can make all the difference to your decision-making!

19t Club Evening. Theme to be announced.
